Collect Cash from Independent Stores
Retail cultures differ across the world, and Ogloba designs flexible solutions accordingly. In Saudi Arabia, the prepaid product distribution network operates entirely on a cash basis, from master distributors through to end consumers: merchants and sub-distributors must pay cash to receive sales limits from operators before selling products. While e-Vouchers have eliminated physical product distribution, cash collection remains a physical process.

Built for Cash-Driven Markets
The team that originally created the Ingevoucher solution developed a specialised system for credit management, order-taking and cash collection. Saudi Arabia's cash-driven market demands dynamic credit allocation, remote cash collection capabilities and rapid product restocking — all core functions of Ogloba's Electronic Cash Collection system.
How It Works
The system features an application called 3C, which runs on handheld POS terminals used by field salesmen who collect cash on behalf of the operator while managing merchant relationships. Each salesman carries a handheld device that records orders and payments at merchant locations, connecting online to BackOffice servers to document all activity. When a merchant makes a payment, the device immediately updates that merchant's balance; collected cash must then be deposited at the operator's branch cashier or a bank ATM, depending on the salesman's established limit.
Risk Limits and Real-Time Monitoring
Payment collection management is a critical success factor for merchant networks. The 3C system allows operators to establish risk limits controlling how much cash salesmen can hold before depositing funds, while monitoring all orders in real time. Through GPRS connectivity, the POS device maintains an online connection to BackOffice, recording every order taken and payment collected during merchant visits.
